The secret's out! (HOORAY!!)

Megan lost her 5th tooth this weekend--well, the second that has come out on its own (the other three had a little help from Dr. Downey). It created quite the stir around our home about the reality of Santa and the Tooth Fairy. Ashley came to us first, and we spilled the beans (she is 11, after all). We threatened her that if she ever ruins it for any of our little friends, she will wish Santa was real because she won't get presents from us again. A few days later, Megan started the inquest. Are you the tooth fairy? No. Is it Dad? (Dang it, she just took my last honesty loophole). No. Downstairs at breakfast, she broke into it again. Are you Santa? Fine, you want to know, here you go. She was actually happy. I was shocked. I even heard Ashley tell Meg as they headed into the garage that we were pretty cool. Imagine that.

It made it easier, though, when Ashley lost a tooth and we didn't have tooth fairy money late on Sunday night. I just got it out of the bank the next day and handed it straight to her. :)
