There Is Hope Smiling Brightly Before Us

Nothing makes me smile more than daffodils. Nothing. I love when I first see them peeking up through the ground during the cold winter. It gives me hope that the gray winter won't last forever--that spring will come. Nothing says sunshine like daffodils.

Imagine my surprise when my husband went out to prune the rose bushes this week and I found this daffodil out there. It just made my day. I also found a few of my crocuses starting to bloom as well.

I don't need Groundhog Day to give me hope for spring. Just let a single daffodil greet me.

Ours are starting to peek up too! I keep worrying it's too early, that they'll freeze. I should just enjoy while I can!
